This course is designed for counselors who want to specialize in homeownership counseling. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a beginner in the field, our course will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist new homeowners in achieving success.

This course uses a professional blended-learning format. You’ll participate in live, instructor-led training sessions and also complete guided self-paced assignments between sessions. All lessons, worksheets, and tools are located inside your training portal, and the content is fully searchable so you can quickly revisit any topic you need. 

Your training will be held on:

Tuesdays & Thursdays —
December 9, 11, 16, and 18 
1:00 pm to 5:00 pm ET 

Breaks and time to work on self-paced assignments will be provided throughout each session.

Live participation is strongly encouraged, as it’s the best way to stay on track, get instructor support, and successfully complete the course.

However, session recordings will be available if you cannot attend a portion of the live training. You’ll still be able to complete the required assignments and knowledge check, and you’ll have until January 31 to finish everything for your Certificate of Completion.

Assignments between sessions allow learners to reinforce and apply skills, and may include reviewing lesson materials, counseling scenario practice, online discussions and reflection activities.

Learners should anticipate setting aside focused time between sessions (recommended Wednesdays and Fridays) to complete required coursework.

To receive your Certificate of Completion for 3 CEUs, you must:

• Attend all four live sessions

• Actively participate in class discussions and activities

• Complete the required self-paced assignments

• Pass the final knowledge check demonstrating competency across the training objectives

These requirements help ensure you leave the program confident and prepared.

You will have access to the training portal, recordings, and assignments through January 31. All required coursework, knowledge checks and a passing score on the final knowledge assessment must be completed by that date to receive your Certificate of Completion and 3 CEUs.

This ensures you have enough time to complete the material — even if you cannot attend every session live.
